bags for field and foraging
Monday, February 16, 2009 at 09:46AM Over in Heywood’s Meadow we are comparing what we carry in our field bags when we go exploring, studying, and journaling in nature.
Also check out the gorgeous foraging bags Emma put together, made by Melissa at Tiny Happy — they are beautiful!

Just as at home, I find we dig into things much more deeply when we have the right tools available. We bring back photos and drawings and little bits and pieces of nature along with questions and ideas, and we remember them. We curl up indoors on cold evenings in front of the fire and read about what we saw, and we get ideas for things to look for the next time. It helps knit together these different days into one continuous story about where we live and what we see.
