Reminds me of "Mr. Zuckerman's swing" in the doorway of his barn, and the kids used to jump from the loft to swing out through the doorway and high up into the sky.
That's got to be more thrilling than blasting bad guys with your thumb button.
I absolutely LOVE this image and think I just might buy the shirt :-) We live on a farm on 40 acres in Wisconsin and I'm trying my best to make the world around us our "play station" rather than electronics. My kids are only 2.5 and 15 months, so they don't know what's "out there" yet that other kids would be using, but I have high hopes for our ability to enjoy our land and less-plugged-in pursuits for family entertainment. One of my struggles will be explaining to my kids that I use computers for WORK (I work at home) not PLAY :-) I'm so happy I found your blog and look forward to reading more! Thanks also for the twitter follow........
megan - “Mothers for miles around worried about the Zuckerman's swing. They feared some child would fall off. But no child ever did. Children almost always hang onto things tighter than their parents think they will.” ;^)
wish there was a swing like that 'round here somewhere... sounds like a lot more fun that the housecleaning I am doing today... but this afternoon should be a party... sunny sky, fun projects, no appointments... ahhhhhh...
Oh, I've seen that once before. I think it's really clever and cute. I only wish we could tie up a swing on the big sycamore outside of our house. Stupid HOA. That's what we get for living in California.
glad you enjoyed, ladies! maybe they'll send me a free shirt for advertising. i accept kickbacks. ;^)
allison - lol - we *hated* our HOA - the country is the place to be for hanging swings! (and propping up your third car on concrete blocks .. and covering your mystery belongings with the ubiquitous blue tarp ..)
I LOVE this shirt! I just had to post about this today on my own blog. Thank you so much!!! It just reaffirms what I've been trying to do with my family.

"What does Lori have under the blue tarp?" 20 questions or something...
