I am so proud of this award (thank you, darling) that I thought I would turn it into a meme by stating five reasons why I feel I deserve it. Then I will, of course, pass it along.
1 - I plan entire days around things I want to eat.
2 - Jack and I are writing a CD of kid songs. The first single is "Hobo Teeth".
3 - I have a degree in English literature, impeccable grammar and punctuation skills, and a Scrabble-dominating vocabulary, yet I pepper my speech with the word "dude".
4 - I am a big procrastinator. I once left my Christmas tree up until April. It was not an artificial tree.
5 - When I am around someone, I start to use their favorite words (e.g., "sweet", "coolio", "whatev") and mimic their physical gestures, the way they walk or stand, etc. I'm pretty sure this is a variant of Tourettes.
I considered so many reasons for why I deserve this award that, in the end, were not appropriate for my G-rated blog. Ha!
This is a difficult one for me to pass along. So many of my blog friends exude loveliness and classiness and seamless good parenting/ crafting/sustainable farming/decorating/designing/cooking and etc. on their blogs. Who among you shall crack the first nut?
So I am first passing back to my nuttiest friend (ha!!), which I can do because it has now morphed into a new meme, and then I'm passing the award to Michelle, who has a thing for gnomes. A serious thing for gnomes.
If you are sad about not receiving this award, what can I say. It's your own fault for being so damn classy.

i love my blog. if laughter is the best medicine, i probably upped my immunity a thousand percent laughing at your replies to this post. is there anything better than meme-ing somebody? it's like hitting them with a snowball.

we are also hat people. jack has a *lot* of hats. both of the boys have spent their pocket money buying themselves hats.
i remember the picture of your christmas walk! jack would *love* that bear hat. did you see that beard hat that made the blog rounds in december? he flipped over that; he wants me to make one for him.
and i am NOT a freak. i'm a robot. jumping rope.
