call almanzo and cap

snow_wires.jpg

Well, my first art class is canceled, because it's snowing like crazy and my lane is already a hazard. They are predicting 6 to 10 inches of snow before it's all done. Good grief!

Living in the country, down a long long lane, we are ready to be snowed in for a few days (at least) - we have food, we have candles, we made chocolate chip cookie dough, and we got out the waffle iron. Bring it.

Beautiful photo - and it sounds rather nice to be "snowed in" when you have candles and cookies!?

Yes, a snow day here as well!! The community college I work for was smart enough to close but the local public school my kids attend was not :( But, mommy decided to keep them home anyway!! Enjoy the snow. Can't wait to hear about your art class.

I attended the Chicago Metro AEYC Conference last week where I picked up a book on using digital photography in the early childhood classroom that you might enjoy. http://www.redleafpress.org/productdetails.cfm?PC=1124

Here they close school over the suggestion of a freeze it seems, as was the case today. We're missing the snow now.

I'm looking forward to hearing tales of your art class :)

I know what that feels like! We live in the country and have been snowed in more than once. It is kind of nice (kind of).

I have changed my blog address:

Have a great weekend-

Yes, Hanna, we like being snowed in! :^) As long as we have adequate warning to stock up on groceries. It's very cozy, and there are a lot of baked goods.

Laura, thank you for the book recommendation; who was the keynote this year at the Chicago conference? Was it good?

Molly, I hope you're enjoying your day anyway. :^) The snow does make everything very beautiful .. and there's that "oh well, I can't do anything anyway" feeling that is the doorway to a really good day of reading, movies, and Internet.

It is kind of nice, Kelly - if it isn't ruining any plans! Thanks for your new address.
