art class

artclass1.jpg

I'm going to teach an art class for homeschooled students starting this Friday. I'll share the experience if it goes well. If it doesn't go well, we'll just agree to never mention it again.

I miss working with large groups of students, so I'm looking forward to being around a lot of kids again.

I have been teaching a homeschool art class for 3 years. I love it, it is much more productive than my public school class ever was. The only drawback is that homeschoolers, are, by definition, flakey, as they are all doing there own thing. They all WANT to be there, but frequently, something else comes up. Oh well.
I enjoy your website,
Leslie

i have no public school experience, only private school - everybody doing their own thing is exactly what i'm going for. ;^)

i think the scheduling problem is very common with hs'ing families. we'll see how it goes.

(and thank you!)

I'm a flakey homeschooler. I think.

I wonder what the commute would be like from MD to you. I'd give anything for a CampCreek art class. ANd I"m promise not to flake out! (I think that's pretty true of homeschoolers. I'm guilty of that with a music class emma took this fall!--you know us, the homebodies.)

i wish we could get all the far-flung hs'ers together for a class - wouldn't that be great?! us, geninne, stef, estea...

people will be sorry if they flake out on me, because i am bringing candy. unless your kids aren't allowed to eat candy, and then you get raisins. unless your kids aren't allowed to eat raisins because of the migrant workers, and then your kids will just get a firm handshake and a how-do-ye-do. oh, never mind.

Found you via Orangette.

Am so excited to explore your archives!

Good luck with the class. I teach baking & cooking and food love to small children from my home. It rocks my world!
